Forget "Classics Ravage" Pitts, get the new Alt Ravage. Awesome figure. Far more intimidating than I could ever imagine a classics Ravage to be.

Not a character I've ever given a damn about.

Classics Swoop, Ironhide, Ratchet, Soundwave + minions, Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Cyclonus, galvatron and a bigger, Voyager class Grimlock ASAP, please! Smile

Ravage has shined twice with Alternators. No need for him to take up a Classics slot.

Then again, in my humble opinion neither should Fairywingatron or Bulkyscream.

meh, i'm not overly fussed by the two ravage alternators.

but i am getting excited again about the classics line. now that there is a possiblity it isn't just going to be recoloured versions of the cybertron line from here on out.

Some of the Cybertron line looks like it would fit in moreso with Classics than Cybertron. As it stands now, I'm thinking of packing away some figures to free up shelf space and displaying my Classics with Cybertron Smokescreen, Blurr and Swindle, Energon Downshift (Wheeljack) and Shockblast and even Titanium Scourge... whichever homages are close enough that they could easily pass as part of the line.

I heard Cosmos was coming soon. Probably one of the last releases before they pull the plug on the line in favor of the movie toys. It seems to be customary to save one or two unique molds for the tail end of a line.

Then they can just repaint him as, say, Protoform Jazz or something. Wink

Wondering what other figure or two will debute with Cosmos' release.

The rumor is that Jazz (non-protoform, of course!) is on their short list. Hopefully a new mold, but I could easily see Cybertron Smokescreen/Crosswise being used. Actually, that might look quite sweet.

Supposedly a Blitzwing has been worked out as well.

I'm sure we'll see all six seekers before it's said and done.

So, what other figures will be repainted? I predict Hot Rod as Bluestreak/Silverstreak and Mirage as Drag Strip. Hopefully we'll see a more silver-y Megatron before its over (no Galvatron, please!) and a cartoon accurate (grey) Astrotrain.

Grimlock? No Trypticon please. Maybe do him in G2 colors? Or go Decepticon and call him "Doomlock" or "Cruellock?" Who knows.

Energon Downshift (Wheeljack)

I like the coloring on that thing. Considering nabbing it since that Alt Wheeljack (reprolabel stickers or no) doesn't quite do it for me. I really want a Wheeljack, but the Alternator doesn't hit the mark for me on it's own, and the sticker set isn't much to my liking. Don't get me wrong, I love Wheeljack and love me some of that gorgeous newer Mustang design (were it not for the kiddo, I'd be driving a 'Stang rather than a 'Scape), but just not together. Downshift might be the one.

Yet that only adds to the fact my Bots are small in comparison to my Cons. And I'd be passing up a beautiful Mustang.

GAWD, why did they have to give that car design to Wheeljack & Grimlock?!?! Why not Windcharger, one of the Throttlebots, heck even Swerve or Tailgate! I want my Mustang yo!

And where's my Alternator Nightbeat Porsche already?

And as for Classics, just an observation, the likes of the Classics Devastator are horrid. This is just another missed, or misused opportunity on the part of Hasbro, to be truthful. Imagine bringing back the days of G1 combiner sets, redone ala Classics, homaging properly as a good deal of the figures tend to do in the line. Ah, to dream.

Indeed, but as Jazz it stinks for me. I've got my Jazz already. Sad

That might be neat. Mateo rather digs him, so that might be yet another one to hook him up with eventually. I'm, myself, more all about my Triple-changers being some hefty, towering beings (one reason I sooooo dug that IDW Zero Issue featuring the tall Astrotrain), so my picky self is continuing to wait from something in that department.

That might work out well for snagging the coneheads fo'me. Smile Smile

How about Slapdash? Wink

I'll just wait out the MP rumor for my Grimlock. Beats grabbing him as a Mustang which to me isn't fitting in the slightest. And I'm rather bored of the Trypticon repaints. Such a grand character from the original stuff, now only showing up for a nametag.

If they were going to repaint, they should have bumped the Universe Landfill redeco to Classics. Much more fitting, I think, even if it is only a four member team.

(note -- they picked the worst possible combination -- for those of you who don't own Landfill, he can combine in several different ways -- all less spindly than the one shown)

But yeah... better gestaults are in order. Would be cool to have a line with nothing BUT gestaults. Maybe an Autobot team led by Prime (Omega Prime), a Maximal team led by Optimus Primal (Optimal Maximus?) and of course, the Preds as Predaking.

(I'm surprised they didn't try to pass off Magna Boss as Predaking in this line...)

Just thinkin' out loud...

Pity this line is gonna get dumped in favour of the movie, and then replaced completely by Heroes.
I'd have rather had Classics become the main line for a while and have comics and a show and stuff done for it.

In my ideal happenings, the cream of Classics, the MP series, and the awesome of Alternators would become a singularly solid line with other additionals done properly (larger triple-changers, all Dinobots, correctly done combiner/gestalts), then all would be featured in a new well done cg animation cartoon with a comic book line worked into it as well.

That would be as close to perfection as it's posible to get for us oldies, that.

Personally, I want to see a decent set of triplechanger homages too, but perhaps without the 3 modes, concentrate on one altmode perhaps, like those kitbashes we saw recently.

I just can't really see Hasbro releasing the same toys under the same name with new paint jobs. That's way more than I'd expect from them.

As for a repaint of Megs....new head mold & paintjob..........Shockwave?

I recently got my hands on my brothers Tripredacus and He's amazeing! I had to transform him (my brother had him since his release and never could figure him out Rolling Eyes ) and was awestruck by his size. Now I just stare at him and repaint him in my head into the traditional Insecticon colours (caused because I never understood why Ramhorn wasant named Bombshell) and rename them accourdinly.
But after reading this thread I thought that Hasbro would certainly hit the bullseye by rereleasing Tripredacus in the classics line. Just repaint him in the classic black, purple and grey and slap the names Shrapnel, Bombshell and Kickback (Sea Clamp, Ramhorn and Cicadacon respectivly) and you'd have a great representation of the bugbots and a great combiner for the line to boot! Very Happy

I'm sure I read somewhere that Classics Sunstreaker & Sideswipe were in the pipeline..?

But yeah, Energon Wheeljack/Downshift, Galvatron & ShockWAVE and Cybertron Blurr all get displayed with my Classics figures.

I prefer Cybertron red Excellion as a Hot Rod homage to the Classics one. He's a nice toy, but as a Hot Rod he's too small, dumpy, square and old looking.
