<center> Hola, and welcome to The Transformers Lost Board. </center>
TFLost is up for three main reasons. Numero uno, a comfortable little place to discuss, debate and marvel over all things Transformers. Numero dos, regardless of what it may or may not become, TFLost is a home to those that feel Transformers is or was lost in some way in its run. And numero tres, a new home to users who have been wandering TF boards for too long and need a quiet little place to settle down.
Firstly, if you are NOT registered, you are not seeing the entirety of this site. Please join up to view all topics, forums, some coding effects, images, and links, and don't forget to join in the topics!
Secondly, to AOL users: Your service tends to consider this board spam and as such that validation email may likely not make it to you. Please contact me directly for assistance. Goes for anyone else having difficulties. Don't hesitate to contact us.
Next off, let's get to the important items in appropriate etiquette for this board, or some reasonable facsimiles thereof. Natch.
1. If there are stickies, read them. They are there for a reason, generally one that includes information you may be deciding to post a new topic on. Please check first. Knowledge is power, knowing half the battle, and all that jazz. Also note stickies can be updated from time to time. Any input from our members on info that has yet to be updated is appreciated.
2. Take a moment to look for duplicate threads before posting a new one on a subject, especially if it concerns breaking news.
3. Do respect the fact people will/may have an opinion unlike yours. You may disagree with them, but that does not make their opinion wrong. Doesn't make their opinion a fact either, but that's for the discussion boards...
4. No personal flaming. In that we mean sexist, racist or homophobic comments will not be tolerated. Debate, civil arguments, and heated discourse (to degrees) will be allowed, but no personal attacks on gender, labeling of a condition brought on by dermal melanin & other genetics in a malefic manner, or sexual preferences. If you need say something, take it to PMs. If the administration is notified and feels the need to step in, they (we) will.
5. No nudity. We've had a fair share of spambots linking to porn and are handling it as best as can be managed ourselves. We have a topic on the matter Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! | but you may need to register to read. Regardless, while we do honor more mature conversations, outlooks and images done as tasteful as possible, please, no nudity.
6. The swearing filter is there for a reason, please respect it. After all, this board is open to our younger TF fans. NOTE: The filters have been removed. This site is intended for uncensored discourse in the hope that those posting will use bad language colorfully and descriptively if at all, rather than using it for personal attacks on one another. Note that items not held in that spirit will be dealt with.
7. SPAM will be judged on an individual post basis. We welcome most forms of "spam", it's the cornerstone of conversation. Understand topics will drift in content, but eventually make it back to the subject when need be. Blatant spam for spam's sake (outside of spam designated topics) will not be tolerated; In other words, no repeating one word posts that mean nothing, same in the way of topics, etc. If something goes off topic and you have something on topic to post, post it, quote something on topic and go from there. Somethin'.
8. Note these forums are open to the public and younger fans are welcomed. Please try to act maturely, discreetly, and tastefully with your board commentary. We're lenient if nothing else, but have some etiquette. Note that since personal takes on etiquette vary and this site is dedicated to free speech in sensible amounts, younger readers view at their own risk. We don't talk down to kids, as such a developing maturity is welcomed to younger fans reading and posting here.
9. If you have an issue with an administrative decision please contact the administration staff by email or private message, do not post about it in the forums. Note in the end, what we (the administrative staff) says, goes. Period.
Now, in regards to signatures & avatars among other items; I've done my best to make this board as unrestrictive as possible. Unfortunately it's a free board and some things appear unable to be altered. Avatars can be up to 200 x 200 in size, and that SHOULD be the only restriction.
Signatures cannot be more than 250 characters (that includes any code in brackets). I can't even get it up to 251, so, apologies.
There are supposedly fifteen seconds of flood control for all posting, messaging and editing. My left pinky (in jest) for a way to obliterate it. No one mentions it, so it may not even be an issue. Note thought that this is a free board and forumup tends to get slow at times, or go down altogether. If that happens, come back in a bit, we'll be here.
Note that guests are unable to view links at minimum as a restriction. As well there are other items of benefit guests are not privy to. Incentive for registering is fun, and honestly I had no idea such would be the case for our guest viewers as far as the links go. Also note the spelling for forumup's boxes that guests see in place of links can be horrid, but there's nothing I can change there.
Note that any fan made content found on this site is the property of its author/owner and may not be reproduced without their permission.
If you are having any difficulties with login and registration issues, user preferences & settings or other technical posting issues, please check the provided & built in Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! | . Also feel free to contact site staff for any problems you may be experiencing or issues you may have.
While the staff of this forum will attempt to remove or edit any generally objectionable material as described above in the quickest way possible, it is impossible to review every message, every member, every profile, every topic. Therefore you acknowledge that all posts made to these forums express the views and opinions of the author and not the administrators, moderators or webmaster (except for posts by these people) and hence will not be held liable.
By registering at TFLost you have agreed to be bound by these conditions.
