That wife o'mine. lol.

She was out Yard Sale hopping with her friend and found an Armada Thundercracker and a Cybertron Crumplezone.

None of the extras of course. Kids.

Buck a piece though. Smile

I've been searching everywhere in my area for that Dark Crumplezone with absolutely no luck (I never have the best luck, my area doesn't seem to give a shit about the newer Transformers, not to mention the quantities they seem to order of some are moronic), so the Yard Sale original was a nice complementary prize.

Thundercracker though. Yuck. Half the back of the alt mode sticking strait back, unless I just can't figure out how to fold it down, and laughably long arms. WTF?

Makes me recall why when it comes to Transformer toys, I tend to just save my money.

While I hear you on the arms and that bulk at the back, I really like the Armada Seeker mould. I thought it was a great homage. I have Skywarp & Thundercracker, and, soon I'll get my mitts on a Galaxy Force Starscream to pose with them. Smile

Anyways, kudos you and good skills Fina!

(why doesn't anybody buy ME TF toys (umm except for Blokie))

I don't normally buy for myself, but I'd be happy to buy for you. Smile Except the whole money, international shipping, and the fact you pretty much find the TFs you like in little internet corners here and there thingies. Confused

I could always buy you a drink.

Took the kiddo to TRU this weekend. While there I actually saw three (actually four, you'll get it in a second) Transformer items I've been looking for for quite some time. Two weeks ago they had none of this stuff.

Anyways, in the little Star Wars/Transformers section they had, there was Dark Crumplezone, Primus, and the SWTF M. Falcon.

I almost just grabbed the only SWTF I dig to a degree, the Han/Chewie combo Millennium Falcon, but my wife talked me into picking up Primus. I've not been the biggest fan of Primus transforming in fiction, but still; It's Cybertron ffs! She reminded me of the times I'd walked into Target, stared at the little $20 or less figure of Nemesis Prime in all his mastodon mightiness, but never picked him up and now the best I can hope for is purchasing online for a higher price using our debit card (which I vowed not to do and still haven't).

And now, Primus is mine!

Haven't taken mine out yet.

Contemplating on if I even should. Most of the time I take the TFs out, snip anything from the box I may wish to keep, file that away, and display the TF semi-posed on top of a cabinet in my home office. This feels different for some reason. Might make a good center piece for the display.

If you don't mind killing the box and stuff, then I'd suggest he might like being out in the fresh air better.
I just find it easier to store my big TFs back in their boxes.
Lots of twisty-ties though...

Finally got around to opening up Primus' package.

There you go Bloke, have a field day n'a half.

I must simply state the following items.

1. I do not regret my decision to remove him from packaging.

2. I still don't care for Cyberkeys, though I may superglue on to the inside of my dash for decor.

3. I. LOVE. PRIMUS.

4. To reiterate; I absolutely adore this toy. It's Cybertron! You peeps have no idea how pissed I was at the idea of Cybertron transforming when that first Dreamwave image showed up years ago! I hated it! Unicron transformed, Primus created The Transformers, that's how it was for me, purist to the fullest. But now I love it!

Very Happy Mr. Green Very Happy

Damn you, Chuck, you're talking me into it.

*sulks*

I'd need the one with the severed Unicron head, though...

I almost picked that up at Target, but decided to go with the one without at TRU for about a ten buck difference.

Um....did he think perhaps to pick up the phone and call?

Anyhoo, Hasbro's customer service is shit. I'm still without further reply to my Megatron-gun inquiry from last year.

I sincerely do not look forward to dealing direct with them regarding permission to publish my novel, if their customer service is any indication.

*sigh*

LOL seriously Cov, do you think that would have been any less painful? I bet he'd have been handed around from one dept to another and still not getting any joy.

And yeah, I too have had to deal with Hasbro UK.

Ugh, is all I can say on the matter.

Less painful? Not at all. I'd generally opt to just make the visit rather than deal with phone shit. But then again, I do think he'd have had a better shot calling shops (starting with most local and moving outward) individually and asking if there was a big orange head with tentacles sitting in the box marked Cybertron Primus rather than dealing with some general knowledge, canned answering Hasbro rep.

Picked up Cybertron Unicron yesterday evening. After the whole Bludgeon/Unicron semblance thing and the part of me liking the idea that Unicron's in a lesser form as he regains power was good enough for me to pick up the toy.

Funny though, I hadn't planned to ever grab it. I went back to the store to pick up the

for my kid. He'd seen it last week at Target and went nuts for it, but I didn't have the cash. I think it's a horrible repaint, but the kid likes it and I'm not about to squash any liking of Transformers that two year old has. Smile Oh yeah, they were sold out. They didn't have it, Wal-Mart didn't have it, Toys R Us didn't have it, and neither did the toystore in the mall that I can never remember the name of.

Damnit.

So, either it wasn't as horrible as you think and lots of people bought it. Or it was so horrible the stores couldn't bear to have it on their shelves.
