they're probably still in the bidding stage... finding the best art company. matching $ with quality and a style that'll fit. probably down to gonzo and whoever else the article was refering to.

this was over at chromia's site:

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Tom Kenny will voice Starscream in the upcoming Transformers cartoon show, which as far as we know is to be named; Transformers Heroes. Originally the article reported that it was rumored that the voice actor, best known for his portrail of Spongebob Squarepants, was given the part of Starscream on the upcoming Transformers Movie. However, this was soon corrected and confirmed that Kenny would be part of the new show's cast.
figures. starscream is spongebob. says a little right there about their target audience.

Don't be so quick to shoot down that casting decision now, Bubbalou! Tom Kenny is a fine voice actor and he may have wanted this role to show that he has more in him than yellow sponges and hairy purple beasts. I personally think that this news alone is giving this show some potential.
On a related note: It says on Wikipedia that Tara Strong has been cast as the voice of some character called "Sari". This is Wikipedia info, though so get your salt grains ready. You can find the info here, anyway.

Sari: Annoying human girl that will tell the Autobots what to do.

It'll happen - just you wait...

The "a" has an "ah" sound.

Kicker kicked things and flailed his feet while yelling.

Sari will simply take on a hurt look and apologize.

UMM... Isn't that with all of the Transformers series?

Humans have always pushing Autobots around and telling them what to do. Must I remind you people that in the episode "Megatrons' Master Plan" the people of Central City were tricked by the Decepticons into thinking and seeing the Autobots as the bad guys and the Autobots didn't even say a thing against the accusations, went along with everything and were sent off into the freaking sun to die. Only when they were able to get back to Earth thanks to Cosmos force field and led the Autobots back into Earth. After what the humans have done to them the Autobots forgive and forget what happened earlier and saved the humans from being enslaved by the Decepticons.

I don't know about you people, but the Autobots have been a little too peaceful for my taste even from the start (Almost Amish-like, forgive and forget too easily). That's why I loved the Decepticons, they didn't let no ant sh*t push them around, instead they used the humans for their advantage. The Autobots ought to learn that lesson and tell the fleshies to sit down and sh*t up once in a while before the Autobot race goes extinct due to their Amish hippie ways.

I'd love some Autobots with a slightly harder edge.

We need the Wreckers to land on Earth and put a few fleshies in their place.

He can come too.

More TFs need recognition besides the same old names.

I agree need other Transformers other than the same ol' same ol'. Just the other day I was watching some G1 episodes and found a Decepticon I never heard (or seen) of... Octane. Who I now call the original nice Decepticon. Armada Starscream ain't alone in the whole Decepticon teams up with Autobots dig. Very Happy He hangs out with Autobots and as the alien chick in the episode "Starscream's Ghost" says is a " ... tall, dark and handsome." Twisted Evil
