It's fine. In fact, it was intentional.

I really dislike the ".50 caliber Cannon mount" on the side. That's what is the damn gun in the first place. Although, it will be huge with two or three(I'm assuming the other side is mirrored) guns of that size put together.

I just think it's dumb manmade firearms are touted as powerful enough to inflict death on sentient, robotic lifeforms that have been at war with one another for longer than creatures have been walking on land here.

Like Cybertronians never thought of the detrimental effects of bullets.

But I guess were they that stupid, their badly armored arses could be better explained?

It doesn't need to pierce their armor, just get stuck in one of the gaps.

And thus is the reason for the BittyFormers' designs.

In the leaked script the humans have those heat missle things that can slag a TF with one shot, don't they?

And yet cometformers can survive planetfall just fine... Rolling Eyes

That is a very good point Blokester...

That smells of "oh dear, PLOT HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLE!", with a feint whiff of "scientific ignorance".

Scientific ignorance?

Like in a certain movie where people are sent into space to nuke a big rock heading for Earth?

"Could Beeeeeeee-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"
[/Hong Kong Phooey]

Deep Impact was vastly superior, and much more scientifically accurate (including the "Messiah", the modified shuttle they use and its "orion" nuclear drive system, all actual stuff that had been theorised and is possible).

Someone did the calculations (I lost that file, unfortunately) of where the Armageddon nuke blew the asteroid apart, and found that the asteroid would have created 2 half texas worth craters 54 miles apart.

There were a variety of scientific flaws about that movie. I recall getting into a back & forth with nelson on it quite some time back. He didn't care. Said it wasn't important. First time he used the insulting tag of "joe sixpack" that I can recall, saying the average movie goer was just that and didn't care about realism.

You know, the thing that the production crew says more accurate Transformer-y designs weren't used for, though their new designs have already fallen apart at the highly exposed seams as shown in the multiple topics here. Wink

This is being used in the film? I thought BB got freeze-gunned? This is just as bad, IMO.

And...this shows that they are determined to shoe-horn the human heroes element into the film. Sill scenes of Transformers being annihilated by our comparitively primitive technology should have been excised ages ago.

I must admit, one thing that always bugged me right across the spectrum of TF media, is the notion any of our weaponary; anything short of some real high-end stuff (talking big boom-boom styley here), harming a badass warior mech from a civilization far in advance of our own.

Just doesn't work for me.

The only way I can accept earth weapons harming or destroying a single Transformer is having a shitload of tanks, airstrikes etc continually bombarding/blasting one with sustained fire...basically a big army vs 1 Transformer. The magic guns smashing the Decepticons in one shot is piss-poor, and the army shouldn't be able to do anything against 6-7 unified 'Cons, apart from a nuke.

Like Dinobot and his rock on a stick? Very Happy

Yes - heat missiles kill TFs and cold stuff knocks them out.

Shitty war machines, eh? Bet the TFs always have to wait for a warmish (but not too hot) day to battle each other. Rolling Eyes

Stopping them is easy.

Just have them come here (Buffalo NY) in the winter. They salt the hell out of the roads, all those exposed parts will rust up in no time!

I couldn't believe how light and flimsy Ironhide appeared to be in the trailer. No impression of weight.
