Hey All...
I was trying to send Christmas PM's to all my buddies...and after about 10, it said I wasnt allowed to post any more...
Also, half of them gave me the "debug" error.
Did those ones go through?
Also, is there a way to do a "global" PM?? |

*puts Tech-Doggie hat on*
If you send a PM and get an error, check your "Sent" and "outbox" folders, will be in either one of those if it did send. If not, it probably didn't send.
Chromie, might be an overflow in the "sent" folder stopping you sending any more, if you've reached the 100%-full limit.
The debug error is, once again, Forumup's servers. Seems all posts are going through if that error comes up, hence several of us (including me) double-posting. _________________ **Beyond Canine**

the debug error is coming up for every post i do, and pm's.
i think the message it normally comes back with to say that a message has been sent is broken in some way.
since i'm not the most comupter litterate person here i'm not sure i can explain it any better than that. _________________

That's the one. If it's the same one coming up after sending a PM, which from my experience last night it was, best thing to do is copy and paste into Notepad before clicking send. Just in case it's lost. But check both SENT and OUTBOX folders, if it DID send, it will be in either one of those (sent if actually sent, and outbox if waiting in the queue to be sent - seems to depend on the amount of messages in the recipient's folders).
Same applies to posting - copy and paste your post into Notepad, just in case. If you get the error, click back to the last page view from the thread, hit refresh. If your post is there, it went through, if not, at least you got it on Notepad to save having to type it all out again.
While I don't think many of us would change this board for the world, if we had the option we'd change provider. Tempting to take a sledgehammer to Forumup. _________________ **Beyond Canine** |

I'm getting the same error today. It looks like it's not preventing the posts from going through, but it isn't updating what I've looked at. Threads aren;t being marked as read when I've just posted in them.....

I wasn't able to get in here for the last 2 hours
Wasn't JUST here tho', seemed NONE of the Forumup network was running.
Gonna talk about this situation with the Vooskidooski when I see her on Friday, see what can be done. It's a possibility that we might be able to bribe Forumup into releasing the database, but dependant on cost. _________________ **Beyond Canine** |

looks like things are back to normal now, got me a working avatar (my own creation "dragonboy") and that daft error seems to have sorted itself.
chromia, your avatar has gone kaputsky? _________________
