I think it's the next 'wave' of Spotlights. The first five are Shockwave, Nightbeat, Hotrod, Sixshot and Ultra Magnus, and the next lot will be Soundwave, Kup, and whatever...

They're both great but I suppose the one to chose depends on what the artist wants to emphasize. I'd go for the blue because it really gives the feel of Kup being stranded alone while the purple give an ominouse feel that really helps make the figures in the shadows look more menaceing.
