Just a note, for those who don't dig on the current grey scheme, I've just installed a couple of alternatives.

Profile > Preferences > Board Style

Have a play!

Stupidly, forumup doesn't let me add a TFLost logo to them, so ignore the lack of a logo n ting if you do switch (I'll be workin on that, though).

This has been done mainly for Blokey, as I knowhe didn't get on with the grey-heavy Sosumi style.

(if I get good feedback about one of these new ones, I may switch it to being the main style for the board)

I like the current standard layout, I dont understand why some people dont

that Colbolt and Futurevision skins aren't very appealing to me

Some of us are light sensitive, Payner - the expanse of light grey is kinda painful to look at for too long.
I'm giving the Cobalt a whirl 'cos the light blue is a bit bright too.

I like that cobalt feel. As much as I dig blue it's a little too blue for me, but it does present a nice effect.

Then again, I don't mind it now, and didn't mind it before either.

Smile

I might try and redux this cobalt one then for the main site style.

I'll see if I can tone down the blue a little, too.

But I'm glad you guys see my dillema here - every time I've changed anything on here, some love it, some hate it. Its nigh-on impossible to find something everyone agrees on.

Hmmm... I like the Cobalt. A few tweaks in the right places and that would rock. The other one's a lil too pastel, but Cobalt.. hmmm... potential. Cool

And Blokie, I have to sorta agree with Payner there - in your case an investment in a TFT monitor so it's not right up in your face pumping out radiation would help. Helped ME no end, and I rarely get migraines of the severity that I used to when I had the old CRT monitor. Coincidence? I think not.

I can't afford some clever new monitor right now, but I'll fiddle with my knobs and see what I can do sort my current one.
Sometimes the white of the pages of a book I'm reading can hurt my eyes. I think I'm just fucked all 'round. Sad

In that case, I'd recommend seeing an optician as soon as possible, chances are you need glasses, and permanently-tinted lenses would help you an awful lot. It may be an indication of a more serious underlying problem. Sort it out now, 'cos if it is. too late is too late.

it's weird, i always argued that i preferred the blue background at the old transformers live site, because i found that easier on the eye than black font on a light background.

guess i'm not quite as struck on the blue as i first thought.

I'm due an optician appointment soon, although I've had this problem for years and I'm always told my eyes are fine (except for the odd shape of my eyes that gives me weak muscles and makes my focussing sluggish. Fuck's sake - my posts today make me sound like I'm falling to bits).
Maybe I've just been given crappy info by the opto.

Just a note - I've changed the settings so your avs can be even bigger... now support up to 200wide x 200high avatars.

Groovesome!
