Despite this limited production bs that seems to have this puppy in the hands of others, it never showed up once in any local Target, Super Target, Wal-Mart, Wal-Mart Supercenter, Toys R Us, KB Toys, etc, here in my area.
I checked them all weekly. All of them. I even bugged employees, nicely, to check in the back every other week or so. I simply doubt all of the Nems came & went in all the stores on the days I didn't check. 'Specially the way most of these folks pull stock for shelves quite frankly. From my perspective, note, Alt Prime just showed up a couple of weeks ago. Found one. Just one. Didn't buy it, but it's there.
I could get one on ebay for $40/$50 bucks right now if I wanted, but that's a bit pricey. I plan to have a couple more runs out from today into this weekend, then I give up and it's strictly online attempting.
Originally I wanted to grab two, one for me, one for an investment to gain value over the years. Now I'm just trying to find one for a reasonable price.
Just a wishlist mention I suppose. Plus it gives me something to type. Something I haven't been able to do much of since I quit caring about the upcoming movie enough that I just stopped posting in that section.
Type, type, type...

What the cow said. I had a comics artist friend of mine pick one up in July and just got it last week. The box is kinda crunched from being shoved into a suitcase though.
I'd suggest picking one up while you can. Ain't gunna find it retail, and with Alts coming to an end, I don't foresee any other opportunity to pick him up. |

I heard it was released on hasbro's online toy shop for a very short time as well (maybe even hours), for around 25 US dollars. I think it was around the time that the comicon was going on. Have fun with that search. _________________ meh. |

For me it's different.
I couldn't gut a person on the spot.
I could totally empty their wallet with their blessing.
No problem.
The majority of folks suck anyway. Hustle baby, hustle. _________________ <center>

I don't think it's really taking advantage of anyone, honestly. My philosophy is if you're dumb enough to pay absurd eBay prices for these toys, then the sellers deserve your money.
Supply and demand. You want eBay prices to come down? Don't part with your money so easily.
Just my two cents. |

Plus, I saw as close a mint Megatron you could find in box a couple of weeks ago going for like five grand. Not sure if it sold or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did.
The best examples came from that mass collection of the brothers whose names escape me. There were nothing G2 pieces of ugly colored plastic still in the packaging selling for a thousand+. Geez! |
I've seen mint Shockwaves goings for like $200.00?! $5000.00 is a bit too much, even for an original mint toy. Then again I have seen original superman and spider-man comics going for hundred thousandths of dollars. Its sick. _________________ " I love you, may I glomp you. "
