In short: Save your Cash. Buy a Bonecrusher.

Ok, I've been playing Wizkids Pirates Collectable Minatures Game for about a year or two now, and more recently, was captured by their SW game. I figured, what the hell, I'll give this TF one a shot.

To put it bluntly: It's shit. Don't touch this with a ten foot pole.

First off, the models look gawd-awful as robots, and only somewhat decent as vehicles. The SW Pocketmodels game and even the Pirates game both have far supperior models in looks, design, and general appearance. But they transform, so its cool, right? No. They're a pain in the butt to rearrange, and it is not worth the effort. This was one medium the Bayformers (and Transformer in general) could not be transported too in the least.

But that doesn't matter if the gameplay is good. Right? Right?

Three words: Rock Paper Scissors. I kid you not. That is seriously the complexity of this game, right here. You don't even actually need the models- you can play the entire game with the stat cards.

Save your money. Draw a TF on your hand and play Rock Paper Scisors. You'll have a LOT more fun.

Wizards of the Coast blows chunks. That is all.

I saw these card things the other day and was tempted by curiosity. But then common sense prevailed and I passed on them.
I also saw the BayFormers Top Trumps this afternoon and was again tempted for about five seconds before wandering off to see what Alternators they had on offer instead.

If both card sets had been anything other than BayFormers though, I'd have given them longer consideration. And if they'd been G1, I'd have snapped them up on the spot without hesitation.

I know there are a smattering of new G1 products using BayFormers as free publicity, but there should be more so people like me have more options when wanting to buy TF products over the next few months. BayFormers have taken over the shelves, and apart from a few bits here and there, I have nothing else to pick from for TF purchases.
I want a nice G1 TF Top Trumps set, dammit!
