So a few weeks ago I decided it was time, and yesterday it finally happened. Packed up almost every TF (well all my toys). As the movies been approaching my taste for collecting and TF's has started to falter. While it isn't just the movie (poor distribution, online gouging etc.) my frustration reached an all time high.

I don't think I'm done, I just think that I'm cutting back severely. I have kept a shelf up dedicated to Prime, another to Hot Rod and my Alternators in alt mode, but that's it. Damn my room feels empty

I packed up many of mine about a month or so ago. Not much coming out that interests me, aside from some of the Titaniums. Plus we've got another baby on the way so I really don't want want a whole lot of my figures out within grabbing distance. Wink

The lack of anything worthwhile coming out definately adds to it. It's hard to keep my interest up when all I see is garbage on the horizon

Eeep! Congrats, man Very Happy . If I ever have kids, I plan on having several pairs of little feet stomping through the house, too.

Thanks. Smile

Baby #1 is now a four-year-old boy who digs TFs (but knows enough to leave Daddy's alone!) and it looks like Baby #2 is gunna be a girl.

My TFs get packed up all the time, and then I just keep a few out to display. I just recently brought some of my RID figures back out since I was shuffling through storage boxes for a possible move of house again. It's nice to see the Bullet Trains, the Autobot Brothers and Omega Prime guarding my television once again. Smile

Unless Classics and Alternators miraculously return, the last few BTs I want will be my last purchases for a long time, since I'm iffy on the next MP too.

The movie toys look like crap to me, I'd never buy them.

Congrats KneonT on Baby #2 on the way!

I packed up my TF collection over a couple years ago. My little guy is two and wants play with all my stuff. In these past two months I've sold half of it on Ebay and kept my favourites. It was sad to part with them but I went through with it. The upcoming Bay movie has had alot to do with my decision.

You know, its funny,...I was with a buddy at last years Transcon (in Toronto) and I joked to him if the movie designs suck bad enough I would quit or slow down considerably in my collecting habits. Looks like I got my wish.

I won't go 'cold turkey', but I will be alot more selective about the TF's I get in the future.

Yeah, same here. I got back into TFs with RiD and have pretty much everything Hasbro has put out since then. But I'm really not digging these movie designs. And the toys actually look worse in many instances.

Aside from a few collectors' figures (Alts, MP, etc.) I probably won't buy much until the line shifts gears into something a little more, well, Transformer-y for my tastes.

I don't really have enough TF's to require being put away. Laughing The day will come someday, I suppose. But the Alternators got be back into collecting TF's since BW, so I don't know when I'll slow down. I do try to be selective and only get that one Alt or G1 toy that speaks to me but... sometimes the bug bites harder then others. Wink
