So, I'm pretty much resigned to not getting my hands on White Jazz BT since he is always so over-priced, but what about the others?

I am thinking about getting Tracks since he looks really cool with all those guns and giant shoulders.

I was put off by the Grimlock mould (doesn't really homage him well enough, not is it big or tall enough IMO) but the Wheeljack version has been interesting me recently. What's he like? Autobloke said that a lot of people don't like this one?

U'm not a fan of the Grimlock mold much at all. Too flimsy for me (best to take apart before you transform him)

I think the Mirage mold is spectacular, the Imprezza's are nice, Swindle (ahhhh Swindle), and Windcharger is nice if only that he's a breath of fresh air compared to the rest of them

My top five Alternators (in current order of favoritism) are:

Mirage
Meister
Skids
Grimlock
Prowl

In other words, if you don't have Mirage, get Mirage.

I dunno, I'm more for the classic ones really. Razz Skids doesn't do much for me, and Prowl seems too different to his G1 'self for my tastes. I am definitely going to snap up Tracks, because he looks like an excellent homage, and I really like the Wheeljack mould due to the aggressive head mould and sturdy look and colours. So none of you like Wheeljack then?

I already have the BT Hound, so Swindle isn't really on my "to buy" list, although he does look pretty cool.

I do like Wheeljack, I like both of the Mustangs. I think I favor Grimmy more because the mold suits his character better.

I can understand your reasoning. However I think it suits Wheeljack really nicely, since it makes him look like a hardier, tougher version of his old 'self and he is still a car, whereas I think any Grimlock Alt. should be a much bigger vehicle.

I have to say, I love the head design on this Wheeljack, he looks cool.

What do you think of Mirage? worth getting, or do you think the new Rodimus Alt will be better?

As I said, Mirage is a must have. I really wanted to see a Plymouth Prowler as Mirage, since I thought the body style was close to an F1. What they ended up doing with the GT is awesome, and I love how they utilized the front scoop in the 'bot mode to emulate the G1 version's torso.

The kibble on his back and his chestplate not locking in are the only low points. Aside from that, I really think he's the best figure in the line. Excellent range of motion in his arms and legs, which is one thing that makes a great TF for me these days.

While at first I didn't think they'd done such a great job with his headsculpt, after looking at photos of G1 Mirage and screencaps of the cartoon, I realized they'd done a nice blend of the two for the Alternator.

I'd say that the Rodimus Alternator would be a good buy too, but we'll have to see about its availability and price. While I love the Alternators and have almost all of them, I just haven't been able to justify spending upwards of $60 on Nemesis Prime. Hopefully Rodimus won't meet the same fate.

Thanks for the info Xaxis. The images I've seen of Mirage do impress me, I'm just not sure if I want to snap him up. He is very scarce on ebay too. I recently got the Classics version which is a nice little toy.

Which BTS/Alts do you own out of interest?

I have no BTs. Sad

I have all the Alts except for Camshaft and Nemesis Prime.
