Cov has entrusted me to adding something more of a TF look for the site. I've got a few things in mind (and still open to suggestions), but I thought I'd see what's most popular...

Well, I voted Decepticon. I think Box Art style would look fantastic, and I entirely love the Ark thought. But I gotta stay loyal, Con it up gets my vote.

I like the toybox idea, but I think the text would get lost amongst it.
I can't get with the idea of staring at an orange site all day long, so I suppose purple 'Con is my vote too.

(I know there's no text boxes on there yet)

Yup, I combined the two. I think I'll go for a Decepticon intensive purple/lilac, with some extra design elements from the toybox.

I have (evil) plans for some of the post icons and stuff.

There's a setting in the style sheets that lets you mark topics you've already looked at.

I thought it might be a good idea, but I just previewed it myself and...

I find the most successful sites aspire to the 'KISS method', meaning;

Keep It Simple, Stupid

Not that I'm saying you're stpuid, kandi Mr. Green

Want I mean is simple sites cut down on bandwidth, user friendly and are easy to navigate.

It's finding a balance between sytle and simplicity

Also added mini Decepticon symbols replacing the post icons on the first page. Silver for 'No New Posts', full-on G1 purple metallic fad for forums contain 'new posts'.

My suggestion would be using the 'con architecture in moderation, leaving the bulk of the background as the G1 box design squares thingy.

Also, have a uniform panel for the options panel at the top
