Is anyone still keeping up with this limited series?

I have to say I quite enjoy it, other than the Megatron design of course, which even the adapted artwork couldn't save.

Also, not liking the idea BB's just been here since '03, but okay, I care even less for his beat-up bit being strict mimickry of another beat-up car rather than some reasoning behind it. Almost makes me want to go back through old topics on the character where his beat-up look was touted as a coming from a rough existance in whatever mission he was on.

Additionally, I hate the possessed bit on Captain Witwicky. Dumb. All that soul possessing supernatural stuff. Were there more explanation behind the spiritual outlook on the claim it would be one thing, but even I can't think of something decent off hand.

And BB being unable to talk/have his voice fixed is still the dumbest, dumbest thing, sorry.

But other than all that not-so-little stuff, I'm really liking the tale. Smile

I pretty much agree with you. That scene in issue 4 where BB randomly started blowing car bits confused the hell out of me. Were they trying to imply he got in a fight with Barricade, or what?

The soul possession thing I actually kinda like. It shows Megatrons spark as huge and forceful, something that could literally take over the mind of someone exposed to it. Very Beast Machine-ish.

And so help me as a Plant, I've learned to love the Megatron design.

Otherwise, I agree with you. I felt it ended a bit too soon, but that may just be my anticipation for the movie kicking in. I'll have to buy all those issues next month too... @@

As soon as I finished reading issue four, I put all four of the prequel comics on Ebay. Hah! There actually doing pretty well and I'm happy to know that I'll get my money back. Smile

I'm glad I didn't shell out on the Bayformer prequels. The online previews left me cold the way the movie images and info have.

Oh why can't we have a classic G1 movie? Seems like a no-brainer.. Crying or Very sad

Because Michael Bay hates you, personally.

The real reason as to why Micheal Bay didn't make the Transformers in the live movie to look like actual Transformers is because he got no soul. He sold it a long time ago to the devil so he can be a director. The Transformers live movie is his way of trying to get his soul back...but no use. He has anger the Transformer Gods. Now we must sacrifice a virgin to make the Gods happy again.

I dislike the looks of the Transformers but can't hate on the story within it. The story was what saved my free comic from being another garage sale item. As for the other issues... *scoofs* I'll eBay them.
