What are your thoughts on this '80s series?

I remember seeing a minicomic for them in the Transformers comics and the rib-cage creature used to scare me Laughing .

I never saw the cartoon but just found some episodes on youtube and it's definitely interesting...nicely animated (lots of dark hues and shadows too) and noticably scarier than the average cartoon.

All thirteen episodes are out on DVD.

It gets samey after a very short while.

There are some definite Lovecraftian influences in this...digging down to unfathomable depths in the earth, big tentacle monsters waking up etc..

I remember seeing it during half-terms and the summer holidays. It wasn't really my thing, but I was happy enough to watch it if I had nothing better to do.

I wouldn't mind a live-action family film of that.
