Finally, Classics are filtering into my area. I was surprised to see Prime, Megatron, Mirage, Cliffjumper and Ramjet today. I swiped up Mirage, who is a great little toy. I love the shape of the figure and it's articulation (karate kicks FTW) I was wondering whether the other figures I mentioned are worth picking up. I wanted to get BB, but is Cliffjumper worth it? And what about Ramjet? The figure looks good, but I am really put off by the over-sized guns..

They had a full shelf of Cliffjumpers but not a single Bumblebee, which is odd. Do you think it'd be worth getting him bearing in mind I will get Bumblebee later?

except for the heads, they're the same thing. I think BB is good. go for it.

I just read someone saying Cliffjumper seemed to be a less quality plastic than Bumblebee. Dunno if that's true or not. Anyway, I'd get Bumblebee if you can 'cos he's bright and cheery and would look better when placed next to Optimus and Rodimus. Have you tried Tescos? The ones here have piles of Bumblebees.

As far as I know, the heads are the same on Cliffy and Bummers.

As for Ramjet, I prefer the Starscream one, although if there's a nice paintjob on Ramjet's face, then you may prefer that as Starscream's is a bit lacking. The guns do get in the way of poses a bit, but that's more 'cos of the stubby arms the mold has and the wings getting in the way. You can always leave the guns attached to the wings in robot mode if you fancy.

I'm still looking for Ramjet, myself. The Classics are going fast where I live, and I'm lucky if I see more then just the minibot sets hangeing on the racks.

There's no Bumblebee's in my area for some reason, but now there are are loads of Clifdfjumpers, so that's why I am asling if it is worth getting the latter at the minute while I can.

, kid in me. Laughing Haven't broken down yet though.

I've bought Classics Prime and a BB for the kiddo (I think I may be forgetting one, oopsage), and Prime's nice enough.

As far as Classics in my collection go, I've got

, and I love them both. While I was kind of bummed about Bee not having a weapon, Bloke clued me in that the machine gun weapon from Classics Prime fits nicely to make up for it, and damned if ain't absolutely right. Cool I'm also planning on grabbing Cliffjumper later. Just to have him as I doubt there will be a better one down the line any time soon. Wish they did have a different head on him, though. Cliff & Bee had very distinctly different heads in the fiction back in the day.

I haven't bought any of the Classics jets, and don't plan to (they're too small for me), but I have to say Starscream is the one I do not care for (but that might be because I'm ruined on MP Screamers....or that Classics Starscream looks too blocky for me). Ramjet & Skywarp, though, look great. Were they more Alternator/Voyager sized I'd have them in a second.

Really wish they'd have done that Classics Cosmos...Sad He was a preferred one to me back in the day, also one of the many I never had, and after watching a good deal of the DVD collection so far I see why. He played more a part in the show than I first recalled!

As far as Cliffjumper goes, I don't know if the plastic is of a lesser quality. But he does lack the gloss that BB seems to have. I think the red does something different with the light.

As for the others, through Dec. they were everywhere in legion (except Grimlock). Now it only seems to be Hot Rods and Mirage's keeping the shelves safe at night.

I snagged them all (deluxes and voyagers anyway). Very few dissapointments, and since I'm bored......

The Poisoncow Transformers Classics Rating's

1.) Jetfire
2.) BumbleBee
3.) Grimlock (shouldn't be, but something about him)
4.) Prime (Voyager)
5.) Skywarp
6.) Megatron (screw the nerf, he looks badass)
7.) Ramjet
8.) Starscream
9.) Prime (deluxe)
10.) Astrotrain (poor paint apps keep him low)
11.) Cliffjumper
12.) Hot Rod (Titanium puts him to shame)
13.) Mirage
14.) Ultra Magnus
15.) Megatron (deluxe)

Most of these guys rock it hard, up until about Cliffjumper I love them all, then they tail off

Just for kicks, I'd like to note there's never been a Jetfire, Hot Rod, Grimlock or Ramjet in any store in my area.

And I've been looking. The boy loves Grimlock.

We've always had Hot Rod's in abundance. Jetfire I saw twice, but was fairly easy to find for about a month. Grimlock I also saw only twice, there was a chunk of Grimlocks in November and then he dissapeared and I haven't seen one since. Ramjet and Cliffy were the same, there was a huge influx of them and now they've dried up

Luckily Hasbro's having a free shipping offer for purchases over $50.

I just have to find $50's worth of Hasbro crap I want in addition to Grimmers for the kiddo, then I'll be all set. Neutral

I think I'll get Cliffjumper tomorrow then (it's a good point that there won't be a good version of him in the future and it's not like there were many in the past either Razz ).
