That Megatron movie comic cover looks horrible. It looks a bit better uncoloured actually, but it still fills me with 'meh'.

As for Soundwave's outing, it'd be nice if IDW had put up a preview that I could actually read all the dialogue on.

God, I'm so bored of it all...

*spoiler???*
it seems that the lab in Stormbringer was basically ripped off by bludgeon & co.

so all that bizarre cyborg/technorganic stuff was a secret project of soundwave's??? (except for thunderwing, of course)

He expanded the lab, and then later shipped it to Earth. Then blew it up.

Soundwave wasn't conducting the organic experiments - he was just spying on Bludgeon and co.

Damn IDW and their splintered storytelling! Evil or Very Mad

I actually felt a bit sorry for Soundwave at the end of the Spotlight. And nice thing with the dates and the volcano. At least we now know why Soundwave hasn't shown up in Infiltration and Escalation so far. How he got from there to the shop is something I'd like to know...

Just wondering - how come Soundwave and his minions can mass-shift quite happily but Megatron had to wait until that special energon was available for him to do it?

Because Furman said so.

Took a moment this morning to ask the following at IDW's board..

Quote:
Why is it that Megatron needs this super powered energon ore stuff to mass-shift, but in the spotlight issue for Soundwave the blue wonder + the Cassettacons shift left & right without trouble? Is there a story point I'm overlooking or not inferring?

..so far only couple of responses but here's what I got on IDW's "mass-displacing" SW & Megs...

Quote:
as for soundwave, someone pointed out that he set off following bludgeon (himself following shockwave) before the first thunderwing incident, so he probably (pure speculation, but quite likely) had his own supply of original energon that he has been keeping to himself.

Quote:
As for Soundwave, that's incorrect. Bludgeon goes to earth to get ultra-energon so that he can revive Thunderwing. The battle against Thunderwing happened long before that. My theory is that Soundwave, Ravage and the rest of them have some unique built-in technology so that they can do it with far less energy.

So for the moment it's all fan explanations. Might write into the letters column, see if an official explanation can be crowbarred in by the staff.

The second explanation falls into the 'why don't they all have that technology then?' camp of counter question.

Don't tell me I discovered some kind of blatant continuity error?

No doubt if I did they'll retcon a fix into the series somehow.
