Personally, at the risk of sounding a sourpuss, I'm not very interested in any Tranformer products depicting or featuring the current crop of movie uglyformers.

Well, since the crap is what it is, and there's no stopping or going back on it now, I'm personally hoping at this point that any success on the part of the upcoming film shall do well to breath revenue & interest in more traditional Transformer items. More Alts, Classics, Masterpieces, maybe even a new line?

The glass could be half full, could be half empty, but I've gotten so tired of staring at the empty half I just really want to stare at something else....like my empty plate that should hopefully be filled with some steak sooner or later.

Still, whatever way you look at it, whether you like the designs or not, the extra exposure has GOT to be a good thing, and can only end in seeing more fan orientated stuff floating about.

Even if it just makes Hasbro take the UK more seriously would be nice.

here here, britland seems to be a transformer desert these days. we either have to pay through the nose for expensive imports or rake through the dregs hasbro deem to throw us.

i miss the good old days of European exclusive figures, when we could go yaboosucks to japan for a change.

Considering the $1 = £1 thing we usually have to put up with, regardless of exchange rates, importing tends to work out about the same as if we waited (for things that might never come) anyway.

I paid £9 for my imported Classics Bumblebee - that's a pound cheaper than the official UK release price!

Maybe this means that Hasbro and Takara will take the chance of releleasing the Piranacon set . If they're in the best shape they've ever been in than that means they can take some chances on things that they were rather iffy about.
I'm sure that we'll also see some good movie related toys. Sure, most of them are lame but Blackout is great. I'm sure we'll get some quality movie related toys if Hasbro is willing to go all-out now.

Speaking of exchange rates, a £ is about the equiv of two $ right now.

I'm looking forward to some of the goodies that will come out after the movie that has nothing to do with the movie itself. Including this key chain with six phrases in it and the robot heroes figures.

"Fanwank" = idiotic term used by those who feel threatened by G1's status and popularity. Any kind of homage to G1 gets slated in this way it seems..It isn't as if Hasbro has been doing constant G1-flavoured lines ever since the '80s. Only Alts, the short-lived Classics line, 3 Masterpieces and some Titanium figures would qualify, and yet some still throw fits..
